How I Can Help
You might be considering therapy if you’re experiencing:
Difficulties in your family
Struggles with personal relationships
Divorce, separation, or cohabitation challenges
Work-related stress
Anxiety or depression
Feelings of frustration, sadness, or being stuck
Friends, family, or colleagues may ask what’s troubling you — but it’s not always easy to explain. You may fear being judged or dismissed, or simply worry about burdening others. Sometimes, even those closest to us can’t offer the help we need.
That’s where psychotherapy comes in.
Why Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy provides a safe, confidential, and neutral space to explore what’s causing distress. Together, we can look at how your personal history and experiences might be shaping your present.
Many of us find ourselves repeating familiar patterns in relationships, work, or emotional life — not all of them helpful. Therapy can help you become aware of these patterns and open up space for new choices and possibilities.
My Background
Before training as a psychotherapist, I had a rewarding career spanning over 35 years as a family lawyer. This experience has given me deep insight into the complex emotional challenges that often arise in relationships — particularly around separation, divorce, parenting, and family dynamics.
Now, as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I bring that life experience and clinical understanding into my work with clients. I am currently seeing a number of patients.
Starting Therapy
If you’re exploring the idea of psychotherapy or counselling, I would be happy to talk with you about what that might involve. Please use the Contact Form or Email Me to arrange an initial conversation.
We can work together in person, online, or combine both approaches, depending on what suits your circumstances best. I have a base fee and schedule, but I’m always open to discussing practicalities to find what works for you.
Practical Information
Initial Contact
We begin with a brief free phone call to discuss what you’re looking for and whether I can support you. If we agree to move forward, we’ll arrange an exploratory session where we can talk more in depth. From there, we can decide together how to proceed — whether to meet once, twice, or three times weekly, depending on your needs.
Fees
£70–£95 per 50-minute session.
Rates depend on whether we meet more than once a week, and your appropriate needs.
Location
My consulting room is in Mill Hill, NW7 – within walking distance (10–15 minutes) of Mill Hill Broadway Thameslink station. There is also free off-street parking nearby during certain hours, as well as a car park at Mill Hill Park (about 5 minutes’ walk). Multiple bus routes serve the area.
